System Readiness Levels - Update and Training
The MoD
has a tool which can be used by IPTs to determine the maturity of
different facets of their programme. The ASSC has been tasked with
a) technical review of airworthiness related material and, if
necessary, re-engineering b) undertaking a series of training

PLDs
developed using DO-254 are often used in modern military avionics
equipment. The study aims to develop guidance on: a) suitable
approaches for Hazard Analysis on COTS containing PLDs and Software
b) the use of DO-254 as evidence to support certification of military
avionics systems To

ASSC is responsible for maintaining some of its most widely used
guides. Over the recent months the group has updated the Guide to Open
Systems, the Guide to Digital Interface Standards for Military
Avionics, the Guide to 1553B and Study of Maximum Signalling Speed For
